Abrasion Resistant acrylic sheet combines the physical characteristics of acrylic sheet with an abrasion resistant, cleanable surface. Abrasion-resistant acrylic sheet gets its hard, glass-like surface from a coating of cross linked polysilicate (a silicon polymer or polysiloxane) resin. This unique surface has a combination of properties that include extreme resistance to abrasion, solvents, impact, and weathering (including increased resistance to the effect of ultra-violet light). It is resistant to chemicals such as acids, bases, hydrocarbons, esters and alcohols. Abrasion-resistant acrylic sheet is half the weight of glass and can be cut and fabricated using standard power tools.

AC-300™ Acrylic is a plastic sheet product that controls static electricity in many applications, including windows, doors, machine covers and enclosures, and fabricated desiccators and cabinets. It is a premium quality acrylic sheet coated with SciCron Technologies clear, AC-300™ static dissipative coating which prevents charge generation on the sheet surfaces. This controls particulate attraction and prevents electrostatic discharge (ESD) events completely independent of humidity. AC-300 Acrylic fabricates simply, is light in weight and is available in large sheet sizes. It has excellent optical properties, chemical resistance, surface hardness and mar resistance.

    • Sheets supplied with protective masking on both sides.
    • AC-350/thermoformable grade available on request.

  • ACRYLIC

Aerospace grade acrylic sheet is certified to meet or exceed Military Specification MIL-P-5425, “Plastic, Acrylic Sheet, Heat Resistant. Mil-P-5425D acrylic sheet is used in aerospace transparent enclosures in monolithic or laminated form. Other applications include wing tip lenses, dust covers or anywhere an optically superior acrylic sheet is needed.

Cast Acrylic is highly regarded for its optical clarity and outstanding light transmission properties. Cast Acrylic Rod & Tubing is unaffected by sunlight or fluorescent lights, resists aging and maintains stability under a wide range of conditions. Cast Acrylic materials weigh half as much as glass and have up to seventeen times greater impact resistance than glass. Cast Acrylic Rod and Tubing are used in many applications in place of extruded or molded Acrylic because of better machining properties, greater clarity, better resistance to heat distortion and higher tensile strength. These materials are odorless and tasteless. Cast Acrylic Rod and Tubing are easily fabricated, shatter resistant and very durable.

    • Larger diameters and unpolished rod available on request.
    • Cut to size lengths available on request.
